SIC6DIG is a 6-digit SIC code database and scanner designed specifically for the sales & marketing functions in the small business. The database contains more than 10,000 SIC codes already, and makes adding new codes a piece of cake. You can search the database by entering an SIC code, or part of one, and scan a range of nearby codes. Or, you can enter the beginning of the description and scan for similar descriptions |

| You can also do a "string" or "fuzzy" search. For example, enter "wood" in a string search and you retrieve anything with those letters in it, from "wood finishing" to "plywood" to "structural wood machines." A fuzzy search lets you look for something you are not sure of. For example, if you mis-spell "wood" as "woad" you would still find all the descriptions that contain "wood" Of course, you would also find similar words, like broadcast, railroad and word processing. |
